An exciting opportunity to collaborate on the most challenging project focused on capturing drink and liquor photography for Svedka, specifically highlighting their new Svedka Tropics drink, this shoot took place at three diverse locations for a total of 3 days—a country bar, an Indian wedding, and a rooftop summer party—each requiring meticulous attention to detail and adaptability.

One of the unique aspects of this project was the simultaneous video recording that took place alongside the photoshoot. With an entire film crew capturing footage, the coordination and communication between the photography team and the film crew became crucial. We had to synchronize our efforts to ensure that the product was showcased effectively in both mediums. This required careful positioning and timing, as well as maintaining consistent lighting and composition throughout the shoot. A serious amount of cardio was necessary.

The nature of the shoot posed additional challenges. Due to the film set environment and a tight shooting schedule, we were unable to utilize studio strobes for our lighting setup. Instead, we had to rely on available natural light and continuous lighting equipment from the film crew. This required quick thinking and adaptability to optimize the lighting conditions at each location. Despite the long and hectic hours and lack of sleep. The team maintained a high level of professionalism and creativity, delivering exceptional results.

Working on this project with Manny and the film crew created a push in skills and problem-solving abilities to new heights. It shed light on the importance of effective communication and collaboration in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment. The experience of capturing product photography in dynamic settings and in coordination with video production has enriched a newfound understanding of the intricacies involved in such projects. My gratitude for the opportunity to have been part of this team is boundless.
